Inca Remains Found in Cusco

The Inca remains were found in the temple of San Cristobal, in the city of Cusco, the birthplace and main city of the Inca Empire. According to the parish priest Carlos Tolentino, who consulted anthropologist Carlos Millones, the remains are of Paullo, brother of Huascar and Atahualpa who fought against each other after their father Inca Huayna Capac died without choosing a successor, thus dividing the empire just when the Spaniards were coming. This is the first time that the remains of a noble member of the Inca Royalty are found. Paullo died in 1548, the Spaniards crowned him in order to serve to their purpose of conquest.
