Visitors to Machu Picchu may soon need to wear special shoes in order to walk through some areas of the archaeological site. The shoes are currently been developed; the objective is to protect sensitive areas from the deterioration caused by the daily visits to the site. As well, a new design is on the work for the signs in Machu Picchu that will improve the movement of tourists throughout the site, which will result in visits done in an average of 3 hours.
