Hotel investment is increasing in Peru
The investment in Peru’s tourism accommodation sector grew from US$100 million in 2007 to US$500 million in 2008. According to the Peruvian Hotels Society, there are 71 projects included in these investments, where 54 are related to building new hotels, and 17 to renovate and expand existing hotels. These projects are located mostly in the regions of Arequipa, Cusco, Puno and Lima.
