After the good news regarding the designation of Machu Picchu as one of the
New 7 Wonders of the World, local and international hotel groups are currently
aiming to increase the demand for luxurious tourism, which targets travelers
with a spending average of US$500.00 a day. Among these hotel groups, JW
Marriott Hotel plans to restore and convert the Augustine Monastery in its five-star
hotel in Cusco with an investment of US$40
million.
The Cusco Marriott Hotel will open in 2012,
offering a luxurious experience for travelers in its 153 guest rooms and suites.
First class amenities and services will indulge all visitors, including a
health and beauty spa, gourmet food and drinks at its restaurant and bar, as
well as a business center and conference rooms.
