Backpackers’ train to Machu Picchu changed its departing station

Travelers to Machu Picchu, who opt for the backpackers’ train for their journey to the archaeological site, now benefit with a bigger and more comfortable train station at Poroy, a 20 minutes taxi ride from Cusco. The daily train departs Poroy at 07:42 and arrives to Machu Picchu at 10:51; it stops for 5 minutes in Ollantaytambo at 09:10. The trip back to Cusco departs at 17:03 from Machu Picchu and arrives to Poroy at 20:17; it stops for 3 minutes in Ollantaytambo at 18:35.
