New museum in Lambayeque

A new site museum was recently inaugurated in Lambayeque, the Huaca Rajada-Sipan Museum, where visitors can see the archaeological objects found in the area, and learn about the research done in Sipan and Huaca Rajada.

Lambayeque is famous for its cultural heritage; new discoveries keep yielding important information about the people that once lived here. The museums built on the archaeological sites are a destination by themselves, where visitors can admire the greatness these cultures achieved.

In addition to the new Huaca Rajada-Sipan Museum, tourists can visit the National Museum of Sican where the jewelry of the Lord of Sican is in exhibition. And the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum that displays most of the archaeological discoveries of the Moche culture, including a replica of the tomb of the Lord of Sipan that includes its jewels, ornaments, and other objects found in the actual site.
