The Anniversary of Lima

Lima, the City of Kings, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, where viceroys ran the richest and most important colony of the Spanish Empire, celebrates its anniversary in January. Lima is a traditional and cultural city that keeps the glamour and royalty of viceroyalty times.

The celebrations begin at its Plaza de Armas, the main square, where a cultural event that includes traditional dances, music bands, and midnight fireworks, is carried out from the evening to late in the night for the enjoyment of hundreds of visitors.
