The 130 kilometers of sunny beaches in Tumbes, in northern Peru, will soon be open for new investors to build resorts and hotels. With the encouragement of tax incentives, the Peruvian government plans to promote the development of the region. The evaluation committee that will oversee the investment applications will include ecologists in order to secure the environment, as well as the security of the local communities.
